San Jose Home Show
San Jose Convention Center, April 25-27, 2008

How’s  that “little project” coming along?

On April 25 to 27, hundreds of exhibitors and renovation experts will gather at the San Jose Home Show to offer tips and advice for tackling that “little project”… you know, the bathroom retiling you started last summer. Or the closet doors you hoped to install before spring. Or the new hardware you hoped to switch out on your kitchen cabinets last year. We know that every homeowner these days has at least a few “little projects” like these waiting to be finished – or started. That’s why, at this show, you’ll find what you really need to get these done – the most for your home for the least amount of money and time.

The first step in tackling that little project is an appointment with a house doctor. DMG World Media, the show producers, and several vendor partners are sponsoring “The San Jose Home Show Doctor is In,” a free one-on-one consulting service. From plumbing and roofing to kitchen and bath remodeling, our experts will be on hand to prescribe sensible solutions to your project problems.
And if you’re interested in a greener approach to your renovation project, Joshua “Organic Josh” Foss, from HGTV’s Design Star is one of the show’s main attractions. Josh is a green designer and sustainable lifestyle consultant. He is at the forefront of the green building industry and lives by the motto that being green should not sacrifice style. Joshua will take the main stage Friday, Saturday and Sunday to demonstrate that eco-friendly and sustainable home renovation is an attractive and affordable option.

While Joshua helps you bring the outside in, designer Jonathan Fong will help you bring inside living out. As a regular on HGTV’s “Your Home” and “Smart Solutions,” Jonathan’s quick wit and flair for the unexpected has won him fans and clients the world over. As the San Jose Home Show’s special guest, Jonathan will take the main stage Friday and Saturday where he’ll offer step-by-step advice on throwing outdoor parties that guests will remember.

With tips from Jonathan in hand, visit The Complete Backyard and check out patio furniture, barbecues and outdoor living décor, and prepare for a summer of living inside out. You’ll find practical, affordable outdoor products that’ll make your outdoor living area feel more like home.

For our younger guests, Home Depot will be on hand to host kids’ workshops throughout the weekend. From bird houses and toolboxes to picture frames and race-cars, Home Depot representatives will teach your little ones do-it-yourself skills and tool safety.

To satisfy those with a competitive flair, we’ll be awarding a brand new grill, worth $1,000, to the winner of our “Grill Off!” So bring your appetite and get ready to collect some winning recipes.

For those with more refined tastes, we are hosting a drawing for a $5,000 grandfather clock at 5 p.m. on Friday. Anyone who comes to the show Friday before 5 p.m. can register to win this Early Bird Special.

(Actual Grandfather Clock may be different than the one pictured above.)

Now, back to that little project!
